Cool game :)
thank you!
Largely enjoyed this, some small issues I have with it though.
-for how generous the attack hitbox is hitting things before the animation, the dead zone where an enemy can't be hit when they're in your face does not feel good
-camera being directly locked to the player feels a bit awkward, especially when walljumping
-this game would feel really, really good if the player moved a little slower in both directions, particularly jumping
thank you so much for playing the game and the feedback! very much appreciated
Making 2D Metroidvanias is often difficult, not only by its complexity, but because there are so many similar games on the market...
From the Depts is an inmersive and very fun experience, driven *specially* for its design and 1-bit art (the music is also really cool)
Congrats Pandoria because you've been able to differentiate it from the rest, and that's actually the trickiest part!
Thanks so much for that review! :) <3
I enjoyed this, normally I am not a fan of games using toolkits but I feel like you brought a lot extra to the table. I enjoyed the exploration and the combat, though unforgiving at times is crisp. Great game!
Thank you sooo much!
I love it! Great art style, fun gameplay.
one bug- I beat the flying eyeball boss and then ran to the left to save/heal. When I came back the boss appeared again - I guess it didn’t register that I beat it?
edit - didn’t realize that was the end haha. I guess it doesn’t matter. Would love to see more!!
Oh, good catch! I never did that, so I never noticed. Gonna fix this!
And thanks so much for the feedback. Very much appreciated!
Update: Bug is fixed
This game is amazing! the gameplay is really nice The art is pretty and harmonic The controls are responsive
One bug i found is the player collisions seems to stop when it gets hit, The attack wouldn’t work on enemies, And sometimes the spikes doesn’t damage me, Other than that the game is legit awesome!
thank you so much! <3
I will investigate that bug! Thanks for reporting it
Anytime, Keep up the good work!
